Fo Guang University Lohas Industry Department "Off-campus internship course alternatives and supporting measures"
Approved on February 17, 2015, at the first department internship committee meeting of the 2013 academic year
For students who are taking off-campus internship courses this semester and are unable to complete the internship due to special circumstances, the department's complete alternative plan and supporting measures are as follows:
illustrate:
It is handled in accordance with the "Fo Guang University Student Internship Regulations" of our school and Article 10 of the "Fo Guang University Lohas Industry Department Student Internship Guidelines" of our department.
For students who are taking off-campus internship courses in the current semester (the second semester of the 114th academic year), if they are unable to complete the internship due to special circumstances, the instructor may arrange other professional practice courses or related activities of the department as alternatives based on the students' learning needs.
If students have difficulty adapting during the internship, regardless of whether it is reported by the students themselves or the internship organization, the teacher in charge of the internship course should take the initiative to contact and provide counseling, and continue to track the students' adaptation status. If the student is still unable to adapt after counselling, or the internship institution deems him/her unsuitable after evaluation, the counsellor should assist the student in applying to terminate the internship or change the internship institution, and, if necessary, replace it with professional practice courses or related activities.
The above situations should be submitted by the internship course teacher to the internship committee for discussion on the principles and specific measures to be taken. If necessary, students may be invited to attend.
This proposal of "Off-campus Internship Course Alternative Plan and Supporting Measures" was approved by the first Lohas Industry Department Internship Committee in the 113th academic year, and the relevant regulations were announced to the public and implemented immediately.
