1. Give students skills and certificates that they can take away, rather than knowledge and memories that they cannot memorize: In line with current trends, change the original teaching model and simultaneously change the learning model, focusing on four changes (ability, practice, innovation and integration) and three lesses (less lectures, less static and less single courses), so that teachers' teaching and students' learning are more diverse and flexible, and thus 16+2 flexible teaching weeks are planned.
2. The "16+2 Flexible Teaching Week Implementation Guidelines" of our school were approved at the 4th Administrative Meeting of the 113th Academic Year on December 24, 2014. Please visit the Academic Affairs Office website for details (https://reurl.cc/yDXk1O)
3. The 16+2 flexible teaching week only applies to bachelor's programs. Master's, associate degree, and doctoral programs will follow the teaching schedule planned by the supervising professor or course teacher.
4. The courses for the flexible teaching week (i.e. the 17th and 18th weeks) are planned by the General Education Committee, the Academic Career Center of the Academic Affairs Office, and each college in collaboration with the Computer Skills Foundation to provide AI or SDGs or certificate-related courses. Each course offering unit can plan courses from Monday to Friday based on actual needs and is not subject to the time binding regulations for course offering units in Point 8 of the "16+2 Flexible Teaching Week Implementation Guidelines".
5. In addition to the internship courses, teachers of bachelor's programs who do not participate in the 16+2 flexible teaching activities must prepare asynchronous teaching materials (including assessment assignments or tests, etc.) for the 17th and 18th weeks and place them on the school's digital learning platform for students to study on their own. The recording time must not be less than 80% of the required teaching hours.
6. Undergraduate teachers who plan their own 16+2 flexible teaching week activities should submit a flexible teaching plan (or form) for the 17th and 18th weeks to the Innovative Teaching Group of the Academic Affairs Office for review.
7. The total number of hours students participate in the flexible teaching week must not be less than twice the total number of credits taken in that semester. Students are required to plan their own independent learning during the flexible teaching week. For details on the implementation of independent learning courses at our school, please visit the Academic Affairs Office website (https://reurl.cc/O5eq1R).
8. Each department may organize an (online) achievement exhibition, but it will not be included in the study hours.
9. For teachers who participate in the 16+2 flexible teaching week, the evaluation principle for students' semester grades is based on the learning performance in the 16th week, and the learning performance in the 17th and 18th weeks will be considered as bonus points.
